graveyard...2

GRAVEYARD
Notice of an itinerary change—
Well, shucks! You died. This might be a familiar experience for you, maybe not. Either way, you're probably feeling distinctly less dead now, with any injuries you previously obtained now healed. Grogginess still clouds your mind, but in a way that's reminiscent of waking up rather than anything nefarious.
... Not too unlike when you first arrived here, actually. Namely, because you wake up in what looks to be an airport terminal. Again! It's not quite the same as the one you were in before, but you're not free of airports yet, it seems. To be specific, you're in the baggage claim area, in the most literal sense: lying in an open suitcase on the carousel, going round and around (or, if you were unlucky, you might've tumbled out of the suitcase as it slid down onto the conveyor belt). You might want to hop off at some point.
If you're worried about your belongings, you can find them either on your person or in another suitcase chugging along on the belt. Once you retrieve everything, there's a new area to explore. Plus, reunions to be had with those who died before you, or with the four Hosts you haven't seen since the first week. And should you be worried about the living side, there are various screens around the terminal, allowing you to still watch what's going on over there.
► GRAVEYARD RUNDOWN
  • You are able to see the living (and their public network posts).
  • Weekly effects are still active.
  • Any personal items you didn't give away before your death are with you in the graveyard.
  • You can still use your curse items on the living, with the usual caveats of avoiding OOC inconvenience (e.g. no effects that would last into Thursday night).
  • The graveyard has its own set of NPCs (Maestro, Bora, Libeccio, Scirocco). You are no longer able to contact the living side's NPCs via audiences, but you can talk to the other four once again.
  • If you get injured and would like to be healed (within reason), the graveyard NPCs can heal to varying degrees, so feel free to handwave tapping them until you got one who could help you.
  • You may handwave the NPCs explaining the basics to you: you're alive again, but you're unable to regroup with the "living" side due to lacking a mode of transportation to the airport terminal where they are, and a barrier is blocking people from leaving the old-fashioned way. Trying to book a ride is a work in progress for the entire graveyard.
  • As of Week 4, the memshare effect from Week 3 remains.

To her Royal Highness Kate, Princess of the Shadow Kingdom,

To be honest, I don't know that any explanation I could give would satisfy you, but I'll try. For the most part, you all understood the important thing--that Manwol and I had a fierce battle, and in the end, we were the cause of each other's deaths. (These specific deaths, that is.) All the rest... to sum it up, it was a combination of specific intentions and unfortunate accidents. Not as foolish as it looked from the evidence alone, mind you, no matter what anyone else might have to say about it.

I wish I could pretend I went out there that night for innocent reasons, but that would be an insult to your intelligence, so I won't. Unfortunately, the circumstances are simply what they are. I don't regret trying to push us all closer to success, and I would do it again a thousand times if it meant you won't have to suffer the way you did in that memory I saw. But I will apologize for breaking our promise and leaving your side, even if it wasn't my intention. Be as angry with me as you'd like, but please don't doubt that I never would've willingly come over here without saying goodbye first.

I may not have the right to ask you for any favors, but if you're feeling generous at all... just think of me as a knight on an expedition for the kingdom. When I come back with the rest of the company, I'll bring all sorts of treasures and trophies, just for you. Until then, keep Jonas, Tama, and Ichiban company? I think it would make Vi happy if you did, too.

I'll write again soon!

Sorry, sorry! In my defense, I planned on surviving the night. Manwol wasn't even the person I was looking for when I ran into her, can you believe it? At least she's a great opponent. I had a good time, even if things didn't go exactly the way I wanted.

Still, I think a lot of things are going to fall on you three now. There aren't many people left over there who are willing to be pragmatic. But they're the ones who are going to suffer in the end, if they're too hesitant to take some risks. You and I are headed back to hell either way.

For now, look at the silver lining--we can monitor both sides this way. As soon as I get any useful information, I'll pass it on to you. In the meantime, rest assured that we're all perfectly fine. (Except for Mr. Gunman and Yoru, right now, but that's their own fault.)

Jonas, I can pick up on your stress even from over here! There's no need to feel guilty over the confusion. We talked about this, didn't we? You have to stay focused on the true goal. If there's anything you want to do for me going forward, it's to keep achievements in mind.

Anyway, I won't bother to explain the whole thing, since it's not important anymore. That said, I do have some pride, so let me clear up a couple of things--I did not go to the morgue to die on purpose! I didn't plan to go there at all! And I didn't drink any poison! It was perfectly normal tea.

Also, don't believe anything Scaramouche might say about my intelligence or ability. He takes the opportunity to slander me whenever he can, purely because he enjoys being terrible.

I'm sending a letter to Alex as well; don't worry, bothering her is something of a specialty of mine, haha. You're on the same team now, aren't you? Do you get to stay in our lounge, or do you have to move to theirs? Either way, Jacopo will probably be happy enough to take over the cooking. He really likes hosting dinners.

I didn't expect a letter from you, so this is a pleasant surprise! We're all settled in over here. I won't say I have no regrets about how things went that night, but I knew they had a chance of going awry. Perhaps simplicity would've ensured my survival, but taking no risks isn't the way to get us all out of here in the long run. I'm only dissatisfied that certain goals of mine weren't achieved, and that I can't help you all save your endings quite as efficiently from over here. Don't lose sight of what needs to be done, but don't try to shoulder the burden all on your own, either. That's the best advice I can give any of you over there.

As for Bora--I think they need the very opposite of being left alone, don't you? They're quite... headstrong, and prone to impulse. But don't worry, they have many people here to look out for them, including me. You should focus on taking care of yourself and Rin--I think that matters more to them than anything we're doing on this side.

Do I seem like the sort of person who would do that? I know you probably think I'm reckless, but surely I didn't give you the impression I'd just lay down and die? Have a little more faith in me than that.

As for your plans of revenge--I suggest you chat with Manwol herself first, but if you're still intent on a fight after that, I'll happily oblige.

Sorry, I tried. Maybe just shoot him halfway through, next time? Might be worth a try.

Was this trial difficult for you? The timing of it all is a little ironic, I think. Don't worry, we'll take care of Siffrin.
