BUS? A BUS???

The wheels on the bus (don't) go round and round...

You wake up on a bus.

It's a very nice bus, though. Luxurious, even! The seats are comfy and can be used as beds, with pajamas also available for you to change into. It's stocked with enough food and drink to last a week or so, along with a bathroom that also has a shower and free toiletries to use. The downside, however, is that apparently you have to share—as you're not alone when you awaken.

It seems like you're not where you should be, either. The bus comes equipped with TV screens, but rather than any movie or show, it's reality TV in the most literal sense. You might even recognize a few faces over there in the terminal, but either way, you can watch the participants go about their day. You're as equally confused as they are, after all, even if miles (?) separate you.

For that matter, that's pretty much all you can do. You're stuck on this bus. You can't access where the driver's controls would be, and there's no driver to begin with; in fact, the bus isn't even moving. The doors are shut, and any attempt to break the windows will send you bouncing back. Opening the shutters will treat you to the enticing sight of... outside airport scenery. You're on airport grounds somewhere, but you can't tell anything other than that. If you do some digging around, though, one compartment on the bus contains a random assortment of card games and board games for you to entertain yourselves with.

Better get cozy, because you might be here for a while.

You'd think if they were so adamant about arguing its status as not a sandwich, they'd come up with some other bucket for it.

Also wouldn't a sub sandwich not be a sandwich, if the bread isn't separate?

Beats me. Some people have too much time on their hands. [ which is all of them do right now, unfortunately. ] Since we're here on the topic, would you consider melted ice cream soup?

You're not wrong. [ blinks ] Soup? Wouldn't it just be flavored milk at that point, since it's dairy.

Sure, but a soup is basically a liquid with things in it. You could argue that melted ice cream could be a soup. A sweet broth, even.

But wouldn't it have to be hot? I don't think I've ever had a cold soup. And a sweet broth doesn't sound very appetizing... what else would you even put in it?

I can't say I have. That sounds pretty fancy.

It's actually just a lot like broth. But if there's anything Fontainians are good at, it's making everything they eat and do sound fancy.

I see. So it's just the broth? Well if it's good, can't really complain. [ he thinks that fontainians=french, but doesn't say it aloud. ]

If we ever get off this bus, I'll see if I can make some for you.

I can't offer food in return, but I'm sure we could figure something out.

Hey, don't worry about it. If anything, you'll be helping me taste test. It's been awhile since I've cooked.
