BUS? A BUS???
The wheels on the bus (don't) go round and round...
You wake up on a bus.
It's a very nice bus, though. Luxurious, even! The seats are comfy and can be used as beds, with pajamas also available for you to change into. It's stocked with enough food and drink to last a week or so, along with a bathroom that also has a shower and free toiletries to use. The downside, however, is that apparently you have to share—as you're not alone when you awaken.
It seems like you're not where you should be, either. The bus comes equipped with TV screens, but rather than any movie or show, it's reality TV in the most literal sense. You might even recognize a few faces over there in the terminal, but either way, you can watch the participants go about their day. You're as equally confused as they are, after all, even if miles (?) separate you.
For that matter, that's pretty much all you can do. You're stuck on this bus. You can't access where the driver's controls would be, and there's no driver to begin with; in fact, the bus isn't even moving. The doors are shut, and any attempt to break the windows will send you bouncing back. Opening the shutters will treat you to the enticing sight of... outside airport scenery. You're on airport grounds somewhere, but you can't tell anything other than that. If you do some digging around, though, one compartment on the bus contains a random assortment of card games and board games for you to entertain yourselves with.
Better get cozy, because you might be here for a while.
RUNDOWN
- This will be your one mingle post until next Friday.
- You do not have any personal belongings on you. Unlike the other players, you also don't have a phone. Sad.
- The W0 weekly effect, once revealed, will apply to you as well.
- Your characters are able to see anything that takes place on the public mingles, including network posts, via the bus TV screens. You may also handwave them being able to see the initial notification that the players all received on their phones.
- We will have a small, pseudo-mini-event for you on W0 Wednesday at 12pm PST/3pm EST.

But yeah, no, I dropped out of the Garrison. And when I was younger everyone at school hated me.

What happened to your parents? If you don't mind talking about it.

nods. ]
Mom left when I was a baby and dad died trying to save a family from a burning building. [ it's sad, but he still smiles. ] Guess I can't say I'm an orphan anymore though, seeing as how I did find my mom after all these years.

Sorry to hear that, though I'm glad you were able to reconnect with your mother. If it helps, I never know either my of parents at all.
[ wow, all these sad backstories coming out of the woodwork. ]

Ah, no worries. It has been nice getting to know her. [ wow! sad!! bonding over this kind of thing is wild. now it's his turn to say: ]
Sorry to hear that. You turned out pretty well, considering, you must have a pretty good support system back home.
[ whether it's always been that way or not, he doesn't know, but... lol ]

I did. I wouldn't be where I am today without them. [ and he's grateful every day for it. ] Let's hope we can all get out of here so we can see our friends and families again.

I get what you mean. It's the ones we meet in the darkest times, that guide us towards the light. [ smiles and nods. that was very sappy for him. ] I'm positive we will, one way or another.

[ in the meantime.....guess what time it is! (that's right, more questions.) ]
Would you rather get a piercing or a tattoo?
no subject
Tattoo. I don't think piercings would fair well on missions. Rather not get metal ripped out of my body mid combat.
You kinda already have the piercing part, so would you consider a tattoo?
no subject
[ and yet he still keeps them anyway......sometimes you are just really committed to an Image(™). ]
I wouldn't shoot the idea down right away, but I'm also not sure what I'd get. There's something pretty permanent about a tattoo, don't you think?

That's true and most people put a lot of thought into them too. So if it's one that has a lot of meaning, it'd be pretty worth it then. Like if it's something that reminds you of happy times.
