BUS? A BUS???

The wheels on the bus (don't) go round and round...

You wake up on a bus.

It's a very nice bus, though. Luxurious, even! The seats are comfy and can be used as beds, with pajamas also available for you to change into. It's stocked with enough food and drink to last a week or so, along with a bathroom that also has a shower and free toiletries to use. The downside, however, is that apparently you have to share—as you're not alone when you awaken.

It seems like you're not where you should be, either. The bus comes equipped with TV screens, but rather than any movie or show, it's reality TV in the most literal sense. You might even recognize a few faces over there in the terminal, but either way, you can watch the participants go about their day. You're as equally confused as they are, after all, even if miles (?) separate you.

For that matter, that's pretty much all you can do. You're stuck on this bus. You can't access where the driver's controls would be, and there's no driver to begin with; in fact, the bus isn't even moving. The doors are shut, and any attempt to break the windows will send you bouncing back. Opening the shutters will treat you to the enticing sight of... outside airport scenery. You're on airport grounds somewhere, but you can't tell anything other than that. If you do some digging around, though, one compartment on the bus contains a random assortment of card games and board games for you to entertain yourselves with.

Better get cozy, because you might be here for a while.

You do not have any personal belongings on you. Unlike the other players, you also don't have a phone. Sad.
The W0 weekly effect, once revealed, will apply to you as well.
Your characters are able to see anything that takes place on the public mingles, including network posts, via the bus TV screens. You may also handwave them being able to see the initial notification that the players all received on their phones.
We will have a small, pseudo-mini-event for you on W0 Wednesday at 12pm PST/3pm EST.

[she accepts the water bottle, twisting the cap open to take a small sip from it. not too much, because they're going to need fresh water for however long they're stuck here.

This won't last us forever, but there do seem to be enough supplies for more than just a few days. Still, we're going to want to find some way to restock or some way to get out before we run too low.

[ he takes it back from her with a nod of thanks, and takes a gulp of his own before screwing the lid back on and setting the bottle off to the side. ]

Guess we'll have to keep our eyes peeled. Unless you've got some sort of super strength to break us out of here.

Speed is more my forte than strength, unfortunately, and in any case my katana is missing.

[like, maybe she should shatter the window with it while it was sheathed...]

But it can't hurt to keep a close eye out for anything we might be able to use to our advantage. If brute force doesn't work on the windows or the door, maybe there's something else we can do. Like... I don't know, maybe we can unscrew the door's hinges somehow. Though we would probably need tools for that.

Maybe we can finagle something from the utensils they left for us, though I'm not much of a mechanic.

It can't hurt it give it a try. Even if it doesn't work, it's not like we'd be any worse off than we already are.

Fair enough. The only skill I've got is lockpicking, so if you've got a door and a particularly thin piece of metal, I'm your guy.

Oh, come now! I'm sure that's not your only skill.

But I'll remember that if we find any locks to pick!

Nobody goes into management when their only skills are lockpicking and boxing.

You'd be surprised. I've met some pretty bad managers in my time.

So is this a "trying to keep expectations low so you can surprise us with your skills later" thing or is your self-esteem really that bad?

On the other hand, at least we aren't here alone. I'm sure if the four of us work together we can figure out something to keep ourselves from going stir-crazy.

Maybe we should put on a small talent show for ourselves.

Perhaps he's a talented singer or dancer. He looks like he would be nimble on his feet.

[keith is literally right there and they are in a very small enclosed space. why are they talking about him where he can hear it. oh well.]

Ooh, good suggestion. Maybe he's one of those guys that can effortlessly do handstands one after another.
