BUS? A BUS???

The wheels on the bus (don't) go round and round...

You wake up on a bus.

It's a very nice bus, though. Luxurious, even! The seats are comfy and can be used as beds, with pajamas also available for you to change into. It's stocked with enough food and drink to last a week or so, along with a bathroom that also has a shower and free toiletries to use. The downside, however, is that apparently you have to share—as you're not alone when you awaken.

It seems like you're not where you should be, either. The bus comes equipped with TV screens, but rather than any movie or show, it's reality TV in the most literal sense. You might even recognize a few faces over there in the terminal, but either way, you can watch the participants go about their day. You're as equally confused as they are, after all, even if miles (?) separate you.

For that matter, that's pretty much all you can do. You're stuck on this bus. You can't access where the driver's controls would be, and there's no driver to begin with; in fact, the bus isn't even moving. The doors are shut, and any attempt to break the windows will send you bouncing back. Opening the shutters will treat you to the enticing sight of... outside airport scenery. You're on airport grounds somewhere, but you can't tell anything other than that. If you do some digging around, though, one compartment on the bus contains a random assortment of card games and board games for you to entertain yourselves with.

Better get cozy, because you might be here for a while.

There were eight of us at the hotel last time. I guess in a way it makes sense... wrangling a bunch of people who have experience at this sort of thing is bound to be more difficult than wrangling people who will spend the first couple of weeks not really understanding what's going on.

[ he frowns.]

Not sure I like how much foresight goes into these things.

I'm not sure I do either... the less prepared an enemy is, the easier it is to defeat them. But if they're prepared, then we just have to make sure we're more prepared.

It makes me feel a bit like a voyeur but it's our only way of gathering information for now, so...

Hey, nothing wrong with it. If we can learn something from it, then it'll have been time well spent.

Though I'm not sure we'll learn as much today.

"After this first week or so"... so if they are coming here, our numbers will be doubling. Perhaps they'll bring supplies, or will be able to let us out?

Well, I suppose that's good to know. I really do love being dead.

[ whatever that means here. and yes, he is being slightly sarcastic. ]

Hopefully it's to let us out. I think I'm starting to go stir-crazy.

Oh, did one of them die in yours too?

Three out of four of ours died.

Seriously?! Only one of ours did, but that was on purpose to get to where the dead were gathered to take out the original one who was supposed to be watching over them.

From what I remember reading about the others it's fairly rare for that to happen...

[tactic]

Whoa, you guys went through an entire process.

[ They just had bodies piling in one after the other. ]

But yes, one died due to an accident, and the other two were murdered by participants.

[feminitis]

Were any of them killed by participants who are here now?

[ HE CAN... but sometimes you wanna protect the people you were once with. ]

Although it seems they may have just endeared themselves to the group...

They can end up here too?

They certainly can. And the ones that didn't die, we were able to communicate with using a hole in the basement.

Doesn't that seem a little counterintuitive? I mean, wouldn't you want the people helping you out to stay alive?

No one's exactly thinking straight when they've got a monster possessing them.

What, you guys didn't have strange gimmicks like that either?

No, I can't say we did.

Though perhaps that was just because we didn't have enough time for it.
