GRAVEYARD

Notice of an itinerary change—

Well, shucks! You died. This might be a familiar experience for you, maybe not. Either way, you're probably feeling distinctly less dead now, with any injuries you previously obtained now healed. Grogginess still clouds your mind, but in a way that's reminiscent of waking up rather than anything nefarious.

... Not too unlike when you first arrived here, actually. Namely, because you wake up in what looks to be an airport terminal. Again! It's not quite the same as the one you were in before, but you're not free of airports yet, it seems. To be specific, you're in the baggage claim area, in the most literal sense: lying in an open suitcase on the carousel, going round and around (or, if you were unlucky, you might've tumbled out of the suitcase as it slid down onto the conveyor belt). You might want to hop off at some point.

If you're worried about your belongings, you can find them either on your person or in another suitcase chugging along on the belt. Once you retrieve everything, there's a new area to explore. Plus, reunions to be had with those who died before you, or with the four Hosts you haven't seen since the first week. And should you be worried about the living side, there are various screens around the terminal, allowing you to still watch what's going on over there.

► GRAVEYARD RUNDOWN

• You are able to see the living (and their public network posts).
• Weekly effects are still active.
• Any personal items you didn't give away before your death are with you in the graveyard.
• You can still use your curse items on the living, with the usual caveats of avoiding OOC inconvenience (e.g. no effects that would last into Thursday night).
• The graveyard has its own set of NPCs (Maestro, Bora, Libeccio, Scirocco). You are no longer able to contact the living side's NPCs via audiences, but you can talk to the other four once again.
• If you get injured and would like to be healed (within reason), the graveyard NPCs can heal to varying degrees, so feel free to handwave tapping them until you got one who could help you.
• You may handwave the NPCs explaining the basics to you: you're alive again, but you're unable to regroup with the "living" side due to lacking a mode of transportation to the airport terminal where they are, and a barrier is blocking people from leaving the old-fashioned way. Trying to book a ride is a work in progress for the entire graveyard.
• As of Week 4, the memshare effect from Week 3 remains.

• At Honky Tonk, the animatronics have been destroyed but with the instruments left intact. One of the guitars is now missing.

W3 Saturday

• Professor Eggbert is now missing an arm. This will not stop him from lecturing you about how many grams of protein each chicken egg contains.

W4 Monday

• Near the peas and corn store, there is a deep ass indentation left in the ground, as though the force of a powerful ass smashed down here.

You still have your devices here and, with them, texting access—even with the living. However, it seems like the living side won't be getting your messages instantly, oh no! Signal gets wonky across long distances... you know how it is... Still, at least you can keep in touch.

You may also send physical objects over to the living, via dropping them off in Storage/Lost Claims, labeled with the intended "owner" (recipient). They will be delivered according to the airport's schedule.

Bizarrely, when your character tries to send their text message or a delivery, they become mentally disconnected from reality and fall under delusions. Maybe they suddenly now believe they are a businessman seeking potential clients, or a lonely NEET in Japanifornia who wants friends, etc. Maybe they're still themselves but are convinced that the recipient really wants to hear about their yaoi hands or that the recipient's love life is the most pressing matter in life right now.

The exact nature of their mindset is up to you, but effectively, they are temporarily AU'd/unintentionally larping/compelled to write nonsense for their messages.

OOCly, this means that while you can still express your general intended sentiment, any and all outgoing messages are written through a lens of insanity as a preemptive censorship for your messages. You can also send shitposts that your character wouldn't normally ICly write and chalk it up to the effect.

As of Week 3, Sunday, this effect has been lifted. You are free to send sane and normal messages as you please any day of the week now, although the glitch may still (in)conveniently return if you try to doxx things you shouldn't. If you're uncertain, feel free to ask the mods!

Come Sunday after execution, every character in the graveyard will receive a ping on their phone. Along with the message from your local airport mascot, they'll receive a link that leads to a browser page, containing a full list of the living participants and a selection of items. The page explains that they're meant to pick three people to sponsor, though they should note that the group as a whole may submit only once for the week.

What, exactly, is "family-friendly freaky"...?

Ah yes, the illustrious halls of the Grand Library. Though it really does seem overwhelmingly... serious? Scholarly? Even a little bit drab? But that's where you all come in! Creative minds. Free thinkers. Unhinged, bored contributors! What could possibly be more in the spirit of the arts? When you enter the Grand Library, you'll find a number of different writing devices waiting for you. Laptops, keyboards, pen, paper, quill—there's even a dictation device if you're the type of person who would rather orate your story like it's the goddamn Odyssey. Whatever you write will be included on the walls of the fiction section - and you might even get a few helpful prompts that make your proverbial pen fly that much faster.

There are questions like:

• What did Person A do in the time between their first murdergame and now?
• What type of love story would you dream up between Persons B and C? Yes, they could even be in the competition right now!
• Unbeknownst to Persons D and E, they are actually fated to a cycle of reincarnation and you are the only prophet that can properly convey their story. What is their next doomed fate?
• And so and so forth!

Let your inspiration take flight - and know that once again, any of you who tries to be a Serious Sally or Debbie Downer in your creative process will instead find all of your messages re-encoded to be about yourself. Oh yes, we also take autobiographies.

currently we are at the point where rupert trips and falls down the stairs, narrowly avoiding breaking his neck, only to look up and realize he's activated an arrow trap. he barely dodges in time. finally, multiple brushes with death later (including poison, attempted drowning, and fire), he suffers a heart attack from the stress and dies. ryo and scara begin a heated debate over whether this counts as murder.]
